Learning is like the horizon: there are no limits

05/07/2023 | News

The well-known phrase gains emphasis and meaning in the current era of knowledge, where new ways of understanding the world, the ability to adapt to changes and availability for continuous learning are the great challenges!

Yes, the world has changed! The 21st century has provided us with evolution, but also with instability. The volume and agility of information increased, but its access reinforced inequalities. It democratized knowledge, but demanded innovation and adequacy in equal measure. With technological advances, business models in all areas have been reformulated, including those related to teaching and education. The possibility of data storage determined that these were duly organized, protected and consciously disseminated, in order to represent an advance, since its immense volume also houses fake news that compromise the veracity of the sources. In addition, we live with environmental, ethical, economic and social issues that inflame our discussions and call for innovative solutions. This is the scenario of such a promising era that, if yesterday the school was the primary teaching environment, today it demands greater participation from society, studies, reflections and practices that promote learning in its broadest sense.

For the corporate environment, the world is undeniably technological, in transformation and continuous learning (lifelong learning) is the strategy that retrains professionals to acquire new and improve old skills and competencies. However, what is intended is to go beyond the imposing teaching of formal education to obtain learning that starts from self-knowledge and a legitimate desire of the individual to continuously improve the quality of his own life and his environment. Given this context, managers start to promote the acquisition of knowledge within the business space and help their employees to live with this reality, from the conquest of new knowledge and repertoires that they already have.

Permanent learning, not just technical, but comprehensive, leads the apprentice to see the world with more clarity and objectivity, to understand the other and to respect diversity, enabling him to act and face changes in a cooperative way. Learning provides a unique enrichment and must be aligned with the principles of human development, in its cognitive, ethical, individual and social dimensions. Its contents must be targeted, didactic, versatile, rich in everyday examples that facilitate understanding and motivate participation. Contact with other realities, via readings, movies, tutorials and social networks, also point to diversified paths that can awaken or unlock skills. A society governed by immediacy and virtual relationships does not always prioritize care for the other. Therefore, training must take into account socio-emotional aspects that promote self-realization, while combating individualism and encouraging inclusion. Co-participation and team work should aim at interaction and commitment.

More than a need, there must be the pleasure of learning, the will to know. For Sphere, this is the path for individuals to build their life, study, career and future projects. For this reason, it permanently maintains a training and certification plan and encourages its employees to remain in tune with new technologies. In addition, through courses and publications by the Iesko Institute, the company informs and raises awareness among its followers about the job market, the professional profiles it seeks, the importance of training, among other topics, creating countless opportunities for continuous, reliable and , like the horizon, without limits.
